Event Details

Day One

Sapta Dhatu Yoga

Yoga for the Seven Tissues: Practice, Discussion, and book signing

The gaps are in our realization. Yoga and Ayurveda were never two separate and isolated practices. They have always been connected with Sankhya Darshan as a solid and common foundation. This seminar shall focus on how yoga sadhana tools like Asana, Pranayama, Mudra, Mantra and Kriyas can be understood in the language of Ayurveda as Sapta Dhatus, Gunas, Agni and Doshas. How can we modify a practice to open up a specific tissue channel or to awaken the agni of the tissue. This seminar is an introduction to what is Sapta Dhatu Yoga and how do we diligently work on tissues in order to establish the state of swa-asthya (health).

Day Two

Marmani of Surya Namaskara

Marma Points and Surya Namaskar

Marma points are the bridge between the subtle and the physical body. By studying Marma we realize the three divine wisdom of Yoga, Ayurveda and Tantra within our body. In Ayurveda, they are considered as the meeting point and the birthplace of the three doshas. When the practice of asana is done with focus on marma points, the pranic channels open up, facilitating the flow of prana in the entire body.  The study of marma is essential for an aspiring Yogin, Yoga Therapist, and Ayurvedic practitioner to deepen their understanding of the very subject bring insight and depth to their own practice. In this workshop the time spent together will be divided in practice, discussion and Q and A to serve the attendees.

  • Meaning of marma
  • Type of Marma
  • Marma point in the practice of Surya Namaskara
  • How to trigger marma points
  • Enhance the practice of Nadi shodhana with marma points
  • Q and A

Day Three

Yoga Sankalpa

Set Your Personal Intention

Sankalpa is a powerful resolve and a goal for a lifetime. On an everyday basis we experience the influx of thousands of desires. Our mind, heart and body work endlessly in manifesting each one of them. The ability to discern which one to nurture and which ones to let go is a matter of readiness, courage and right action. Sankalpa has always been the step no. 1 in Yoga. Learn the practice and technique of various types of sankalpa and create a powerful resolve to be the YOU that you wish to be. May our Yoga bear the sacred fruits of contentment and peace.
